I am Charles Parker and I am a direct decendent of Quanna Parker, a great American Indian Chief.

Thank you for renewing this great motel.

This Tee Pee is one of the best I have ever stayed in.  They are awesome.

(May the Spirits be with anyone that stays in #106.)

I wish you all the Best Luck!

We want to thank you for our stay here, which was very comfortable.  The room was very clean and the ladies were very very nice to us.

This is our second stay here, the first was 11-24-06.

We call it the "Tee Pee Hilton".

Thank you!

We'll be back soon ~ Ismael & Dora P.

Finally, I had a chance to stay at the historically famous Tee Pee Inn ~ the renovation is a great "face lift."

Son of Comanche Chief, Peta Nocona, and a white woman named Cynthia Ann Parker, Quanah Parker was the last free Comanche Chief and the first chief of all Comanche tribes. Born circa 1847, died Feb.22,1911 , this blue-eyed warrior was known as the fiercest defender of his people. In the heat of battle, Quanah would ferociously fight the invading white settlers, showing no mercy. Later, after he and his people had surrendered to reservation life, he used this same fierce zeal in adopting the "white man's" ways. Everything he did was always for the sake of defending and protecting his people.

Quanah and his people fought many battles and remained free until 1875. On June 2, Quanah surrendered and began a new life as a peaceful reservation Indian. Quanah spent half his life living in the white man's world. Before he died in 1911, he had amassed considerable wealth for a reservation Indian.

Whether he was fighting bloody battles on the Texas range or fighting the Bureau of Indian Affairs to keep his people fed and warm, Quanah never forgot his heritage. When he died, he was buried next ot his mother in the full regalia of a Comanche Chief.

This is our 50th Wedding Anniversary.  50 years ago we spent our wedding night in the flat tops.

Our kids gave us this for our anniversary and we truly enjoyed the stay.

Everything is real nice.

We have watched these for 50 years, for we live 6 miles east of Wharton.  We are very grateful to have them open again.

God B less and good services.

I only got to stay one night but I would not hesitate to recommend ya'll to anyone.  Not only was the room homey and clean, the personal attention given to me was the best.  Ya'll are so friendly and willing to go that extra mile for your guests and that's not seen often.

Thank you for a wonderful stay ~~BA Walker

This was truly an experience we both enjoyed.  I've lived in the El Campo area for years, but now that we live in Houston, we are privileged to have stayed here @ Tee-Pee.  Thanks to the owners who kept and restored this once again.  We will be back and probably with more friends.

Thanks so much ~~~~~~D Cano

When I was a little girl coming from Houston to visit family in Wharton, the Tee Pee Motel sign was a landmark that we were near Wharton.  I always wanted to stay in Tee Pee Motel but it was closed and abandoned.  I secretly wished I could stay here.  Well!  That was over fifty years ago, and my wish came true.  Good things come to those who wait!  The rooms are lovely, cozy, clean and very peaceful.  I am from Indian heritage and I feel very at home here!

Thank you and your family for reviving and restoring this wonderful place.

God bless you all, and all those who stay here.

We love visiting Wharton!  The room was nice & cozy.  We met nice people throughout Wharton.  We enjoyed the riverwalk, 20th Century Museum and the County Historical Museum.

We would love to come back and visit again!

Thanks so much for having the great idea to renovate the Tee Pees.  My husband, daughter and I had a great time: cooking out, throwing the football, cooking hot dogs, roasting marshmallows & looking at the wildflowers.  I love ~ love the Neon sign!!!  Thanks for taking us back in time.  We'll be back!
